Imagine a device that can assist you in the kitchen by smelling or tasting ingredients, food and beverages while you are cooking. Quite funny, isn't it ? This is the kind of device that the ESENS project is developing. Besides food and beverages, these devices, mimicking nose and tongue, can perform complex chemical, biochemical or biological analysis of samples with applications in a variety of fields such as science, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, neurostimulation, water quality assessment. The project is looking forward to widening the scope of its activities yet further.
