Molecular Gastronomy

Laurence Humier is an Engineer by training who lives in Italy, where she works as a designer. In 2012 with the collaboration of a chemical engineer, she explored the bond between cooking and material sciences, and wrote the e-book “Cooking Material. Could molecular gastronomy help discover new materials?” where she shows different techniques to get Do-It-Yourself materials. Laurence has hold workshops for kids in different museums including Cité de la Science et de l’Industrie (Paris), Festival della Scienza (Genoa), and the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt Museum (New York). As a result, she also developed the game “Alchemist Matter“ that was funded on Kickstarter.
