About
Tim Hunkin
Tim Hunkin trained as an engineer, but then became a cartoonist, drawing a strip for a UK Sunday paper. His next career was in television by creating the series The Secret Life of Machinesin which he explains the workings and history of various household devices. Then he worked for museums, building interactive exhibits and curating exhibitions. Finally his hobby, building satirical arcade machines, took over in 2001. His Under the Pier Show amusement arcade on Southwold Pier has thrived and he’s just opened a second arcade called Novelty Automation in central London.
