About
Living Language
Living Language is a BioDesign project exploring of the boundaries between culture and nature. It is a hypothetical suggestion for an exciting new evolution process of the Hebrew alphabet during It's 2000 years of which it was considered to be a dead and unspoken language. The core element of the project is the Paenibacillus vortex bacteria which is used to create old Hebrew characters that evolve themselves into modern Hebrew ones. The project has been created as part of Elisar's final thesis at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Israel, and is part of the designer's ongoing explorations into typography and the ways language can be expressed visually.
