Hovertone is a belgian stratup in motion and music technologies. Created by 2 researchers from Mons University, they create interactive applications, installations, performances and workshops for creative experiments. Here are the products they will be showing at KIKK Market :

 

Handsketch is a new digital music instrument that allows musicians to play artificial singing voice on stage. This instrument is the result of many years of researchon the aspect of the quality of the singing voice syntesis but also on the user interface for a control of the voice settings.

 

DrawingSound
DrawingSound is an interactive screen that allows to draw sound. Software allows to draw in different colors. The lines are then "sonified" in real time, folowing some intuitive rules of music.

Last project Hoverton works on is to transfer the magic of Handsketch into a large public tablette. Until now, Handsketch was mostly used by professional musicians. We want to reach a new public, put an intuitive and expressive musical creation tool in the hand of everybody. The application will be free and available on Apple Store from November.
